Meeting real needs in our communities
Eyamintokozo was founded to facilitate effective pedagogical transformation within the context of our core values, in ways that meet and reconcile the current needs of learners, employers and key stakeholders.
After a case study and extensive research on community needs, we saw the necessity of accessible higher education and training in Pinetown’s immediate vicinity: to strengthen the education system, develop local villages and confront rising youth unemployment.
To support learner-centred teaching and learning, we have built strong collaborations and partnerships with schools, government departments and organisations.
To ensure student delight through blended learning, corporate mentoring, professional grooming, a flexible curriculum, and a healthy environment built around co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, with curriculum development that meets international standards and industry and civil-society needs, instilling creative thinking, critical thinking, and human and ethical values.
